Report of the US President Donald Trump’s Working Group on Digital Assets on the proposed approach to the digital asset regulation in the United States

On July 30 2025, the Working Group on Digital Asset appointed by the U.S. President Donald Trump published a report outlining the main goals and assumptions regarding the regulation of digital assets in the United States. This report addresses, inter alia, the following issues:

  • strengthening the role of the United States as a leader in digital asset markets;
  • a proposal of changes to banking regulations with regards to enabling banks to provide services related to digital assets;
  • a proposal to ban work on the development of the digital dollar;
  • ensuring a fair approach to the taxation of digital assets
