Digital Services Act has been published

The Digital Services Act (DSA) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 27 October 2022 and will enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication.

The DSA is part of a digital finance package. The main purpose of the DSA is to act against illegal services, content and goods online. The Act regulates, in particular, the obligations of service providers operating online as intermediaries of internet access service providers, domain registrars, hosting service providers, etc.

The DSA aims to provide conditions for innovative digital services to emerge and to scale up in the internal market.
