Involvement of a tech giant in Blockchain and crypto-currency projects

Google has announced the launch of a cloud-based node-hosting service for Ethereum projects. The Blockchain Node Engine is to help programmers implement new nodes into a blockchain, provide solutions to prevent unauthorized access to the nodes and ensure active monitoring of the nodes and  their restart during outages.

The nodes on a blockchain are devices (e.g. a computer, a server) that form a peer-to-peer network which constantly exchange the latest blockchain data. Nodes are specific points of communication in a blockchain network.

When announcing the implementation of the new service, Google emphasised that blockchain was chaning how the world stored and transferred its information.

The Blockchain Node Engine service is not the first sign of Google’s growing involvement in Blockchain and crypto-currency projects. According to recent news, long-term strategic cooperation has been initiated between Google Cloud and Coinbase for the development of Web3 innovation.
