Kuwait International Bank (KIB) is now offering a biometric payment card for VIP clients using a technology from Zwipe. KIB has offered a card with a fingerprint reader to verify users under the Visa Infinite Black product.

‍Deema Al Mulaifi, assistant GM for operations at KIB, says the card has been designed to ensure easy and convenient access with a high level of protection against fraud attempts.

One of banks in Poland offered a limited biometric card for its clients already in 2021. As assured by the bank, the biometric card has all traditional and digital functions of a payment card. It also allows biometric authentication of each transaction using a fingerprint. As declared by the bank, the biometric card is a fully customised tool of the highest security standard.

The biometric pattern of a fingerprint is saved and secured in the payment card. It is not stored in the reader or the bank’s systems, nor is it transferred in the payment systems.
