Cashless.pl and FinTech Poland together with their partners have unveiled the 6th edition of the Polish Fintech Map. This year’s map is divided into three layers.

The first layer includes entities that operate in the non-banking part of the fintech sector and are both providers of financial services and providers of technologies. The entities have been assigned to 10 categories such as: payments, insurtech, crowdfunding, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, or deferred payments.

The second layer consists of 4 categories of entities: providers of fintech software, online price checkers for financial services, companies developing tools in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as cybersecurity and identity verification.

The last layer of the Map is divided into two sections: foreign fintechs operating in the Polish market and market-supporting institutions (foundations, chambers of commerce, entrepreneurs associations), as well as consulting firms.

The most important part of the Polish fintech industry are payments companies, making up 22.2% of Polish fintechs. Software providers rank second (12.5% of Polish fintech companies).
