The just finished 2023 Cash Handling Congress was a platform for discussion and exchange of experience on the cash handling costs. The congress provided a presentation of the results of a study conducted by the National Bank of Poland (NBP) on the availability of cash and ATMs in Poland and Europe.

Self-service banking devices, which are cheaper than traditional ATMs, were discussed during the congress. The speakers also highlighted the important role of digital robots supporting maintenance operations and forecasts of IT systems flows. The issue of looking for alternative distribution channels was raised and attention was drawn to an even broader possibility of using the cashback function.
