Gibraltar plans to use blockchain in public administration
The H.M. Government of Gibraltar plans to conduct a pilot integration of blockchain technology into its legacy systems.
According to the authors of the concept, blockchain will enhance the functionality of Gibraltar’s eGov system. This technology is expected to streamline communications between government departments and stakeholders, and ultimately to streamline government processes. The initial phase of the project will focus on enabling users to store government-issued and certified credentials.
The project is being implemented in partnership with two private firms from the DLT industry.
