New regulations for crypto-currency market in the UK

The UK government has announced the strengthening of regulations on crypto-exchanges. Minister Andrew Griffith has said that the government is planning to apply the regulations to centralised crypto-exchanges, as is the case with regulations on payment services.

The UK government has reported that a licensing process has been applied to entities operating in the UK crypto-currency market or providing related services. Moreover, capital requirements are to be imposed on the entities. The regulations are to include running the first public offering of tokens, execution of payment transactions using tokens, etc.
